The Role

This People & Culture Manager role will lead the day-to-day people function, acting as a trusted decision-maker across employee lifecycle matters, workforce priorities, compliance and leadership support. The role is hands-on, commercially influential and suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational pace with sound judgement.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide practical advice to executive, senior and operational leaders on people matters.
- Act as the escalation point for complex, sensitive or high-risk employee issues.
- Guide leaders through performance, conduct, investigation, termination and restructure matters.
- Review and approve employment documentation, workforce changes and people-related decisions.
- Support recruitment priorities, hiring recommendations, role design and offer discussions.
- Oversee onboarding quality, employee records, contract accuracy and lifecycle processes.
- Monitor engagement, retention, probation outcomes and workforce risk indicators.
- Improve people workflows, triage processes, onboarding, recruitment and employee lifecycle practices.
- Maintain compliance across employment legislation, policies and governance requirements.




- Provide workforce reporting and insights to help leaders prioritise action.
- Support transformation, automation, workforce planning and cross-region people initiatives.

The Candidate

You will be a commercially minded People & Culture leader who can operate with pace, discretion and confidence. This role will suit someone who is comfortable being close to the business, making sound judgement calls and coaching leaders through practical people decisions.

You will bring:

- 8+ years’ experience in Human Resources or People & Culture.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
- Strong employee relations and employment legislation knowledge.
- Experience advising leaders on performance, conduct, investigations and restructures.
- Ability to balance commercial outcomes, compliance, employee experience and risk.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication capability.
- Confidence operating in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment.
- High discretion and ability to manage confidential employee matters.
- HRIS exposure, with Employment Hero or similar systems experience highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills, resilience and practical problem-solving capability.
