About the Role
As a Service Technician,
you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting our customer fleets, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability. Your work will help build long‑term customer relationships and uphold our reputation for exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble and service heavy vehicles and equipment
- Accurately document repairs, parts, labour and fluids on work orders
- Maintain cleanliness and care of workshop tools, equipment and work areas
- Identify and communicate service opportunities to support customer uptime
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals and schematics
- Manage time effectively and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Complete technical, service and warranty documentation accurately
- Work independently and collaboratively within the team
- Follow all safety procedures, policies and regulations
Skills & Experience
- Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Truck Mechanic or equivalent)
- Dual trade or experience in auto electrical and/or air‑conditioning highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence
- Experience with heavy diesel servicing, engine overhauls and major repairs highly regarded
- Experience with Kenworth and DAF equipment advantageous
- Strong customer service focus with a proactive work approach
- Sound electrical and IT diagnostic skills
- Logical, methodical problem solver with a mature attitude
- High‑risk licences (e.g. Forklift) or other industry tickets highly regarded
