Registered Nurse (RN) General Practice & Urgent Care

My Clinic Plus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialising in General Practice & Urgent Care to join our team in Ulverstone & Burnie, Tasmania. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced general practice and urgent care workplace. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring patients receive exceptional care and have positive experiences at our clinic.

What you'll be doing

- Providing direct patient care, including wound care, injections, immunisations and minor procedures
- Conducting patient health assessments and vital signs monitoring
- Assisting clinicians during consultations and minor surgical procedures
- Managing patient flow and triage in the urgent care environment
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with privacy regulations
- Health education and patient counselling on preventative care and chronic disease management
- Ensuring clinical areas are clean, safe and well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
- Collaborating with general practitioners, allied health professionals and administrative staff to deliver coordinated patient care
- Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance
- Responding to urgent and emergency situations with appropriate clinical protocols

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, we're seeking a nurse with the following qualifications and experience:





- Current registration with APRHA as a Registered Nurse
- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to healthcare settings
- Minimum 2 years experience in general practice, urgent care or primary healthcare settings
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Robust organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Preferred: Experience with practice management systems and electronic health records
- Preferred: Additional qualifications in wound management, immunisation nursing or minor illness management
