With over a decade of experience in professional sport, Brandan has previously worked with the Parramatta Eels and Western Sydney Wanderers before founding Sydney Sports Academy. Today, he works with athletes ranging from grassroots juniors through to representative and professional players across multiple sports.

As the brand continues to grow, we're looking for an exceptional Video Editor to become an integral part of the team and help build one of Australia's leading sports performance personal brands.

About the Role

This role is focused purely on video editing.

We already have a dedicated videographer who captures all athlete sessions, coaching content and behind-the-scenes footage.

Your role is to transform that footage into engaging, high-performing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

This is far more than simply editing videos.

You'll become responsible for maintaining and continually evolving the Coach Brandan Jones editing framework, ensuring every piece of content reflects the style, storytelling, pacing and professionalism that defines the brand.





You'll work directly alongside Brandan to develop a consistent visual identity, continually improve content performance and help build one of Australia's leading coaching brands.

The role is predominantly work from home, with occasional in-person meetings to collect footage, review edits, discuss strategy and plan upcoming content.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
- Create attention-grabbing hooks that maximise audience retention.
- Add captions, graphics, music, sound effects and branding.
- Maintain a consistent editing style across all platforms.
- Learn, implement and continually refine the Coach Brandan Jones editing framework.
- Ensure every video reflects the Coach Brandan Jones brand, tone, messaging and visual identity.
- Organise projects, footage and editing workflows efficiently.
- Work directly with Brandan to improve editing quality, storytelling and content performance.
- Build and maintain an organised content library ready for publishing.
- Stay up to date with current social media trends and identify opportunities to improve content performance.

Weekly KPIs

Success in this role will be measured by consistency, quality and efficiency.

Minimum expectations include:

- Produce a minimum of 14 high-quality short-form videos (Reels, TikToks & YouTube Shorts) per week.




- Deliver edits within agreed turnaround times.
- Maintain a consistently high editing standard.
- Ensure every piece of content aligns with the Coach Brandan Jones editing framework.
- Maintain an organised content library for future publishing.

Performance bonuses will be available for consistently exceeding KPI targets while maintaining editing quality, creativity and turnaround times.

About You

- Has experience editing high-performing short-form content.
- Is highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Understands what makes content perform across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Has a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing and audience retention.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage deadlines independently.
- Takes pride in producing professional, polished work.
- Wants to build a long-term career and become an important part of a growing brand.
- Has an interest in sport, performance or content creation (highly regarded).
