The Production technician's role is to contribute to the manufacturing team in the assembly of precision optical and mechanical components used to build complex modules used in communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly of optical, mechanical and electronic parts and systems.

Precision soldering of electronics and components.

Operate equipment and perform tasks efficiently so as to meet deadlines.

Maintain a clean work environment and assist in maintaining the level of cleanliness.

Perform duties as requested by management.

Experience with precision soldering of electronics and components.





Work cooperatively in a team environment with demanding goals to meet output targets.

The ability and willingness to rapidly learn current complex assembly processes.

Flexible to be assigned to work on a range of processes dependant on production needs.

The ability to follow written work instructions.

Good manual dexterity and patience.

The ability for clear written and spoken communication

Experience in the manufacture of products under a defined quality system.

3 to 4 years experience as an operator in a high tech manufacturing organisation operating under ISO standards.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
