Kununurra is seeking a Clinical Midwife to undertake the antenatal and postnatal clinics at Kununurra, as well as undertaking outreach clinics at Halls creek, Kalumburu and Warmun. Additional rostered shifts will be undertaken on the midwifery unit at required at Kununurra Hospital.

This role provides an prospect to enhance your autonomy in providing targeted antenatal and postnatal care, as well as core midwifery care. Supported by the East Kimberley antenatal coordinator and Obstetric team who are based in Kununurra, you will work as part of the integrated Maternity team.

The roster will be rotational between the sites of Halls Creek, Kalumburu, Warmun and Kununurra with accommodation supplied.

About the role: This position is a key role in providing experience, consistency and leadership for the vast midwifery services in the East Kimberley region and communities, while enjoying and exploring the beauty of the region.

To be successful you will have…

- Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and delivery of evidence based,



midwifery care within the relevant practice setting.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of midwifery practice within the Australian College of Midwives National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral.
- Demonstrated advanced effective communication and interpretations kills, including demonstrated effective negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both as a team leader and team member within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Incorporation of quality and risk management principles within practice.
