Are you a VR GP with experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care and a passion for clinical leadership?

We are seeking experienced and motivated Clinical Lead GP at Somerville, on the Mornington, to provide visible, on-site leadership within our modern Urgent Care Centre. This is an exciting chance to mentor clinicians, support high-quality patient care, and help shape the future of urgent care delivery.

Working closely with the UCC State Clinical Lead and State Clinical Director (SCD), you will play a key role in strengthening clinical governance, supporting the medical workforce, and maintaining operational excellence at a local level.

About the Role

As a Clinical Lead GP, you will:

- Provide visible, site-based clinical leadership within the Urgent Care Centre

- Support and mentor GPs, nurses, and administrative staff

- Act as the first point of contact for clinical guidance and complex presentations

- Promote clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives

- Support workforce stability and foster a positive clinical culture

- Assist in maintaining consistent operational performance across the site





- Collaborate closely with the State Clinical Lead and State Clinical Director

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Vocational Registration (VR) with unrestricted AHPRA registration

- Current ALS certification

- Minimum 2 years’ post-fellowship experience, ideally within Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

- The ability to balance clinical and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment

- A passion for supporting teams and delivering outstanding patient care
