A leading global investment and technology organisation is looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join its high-performing infrastructure team in Sydney.

Your Current Role

You'll become a key member of the global database engineering team, responsible for supporting, administering, optimising, and securing critical database environments. The position offers exposure to a broad range of technologies and initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand requirements and improve data flows.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions supporting large-scale production environments.
- Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot performance across critical database platforms.
- Develop automation capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement security controls,



backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and best-practice standards.

Your Experience

- Five or more years of experience administering enterprise-scale production databases.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Experience with SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL
- Scripting experience using PowerShell, Shell, or Python.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively within a collaborative environment.
