As the primary provider of food and beverage on campus, we operate a diverse range of cafés, quick service outlets, catered events, bars, our own Food Truck and Coffee Van. No two days are the same.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment and enjoys leading from the front.

You are a confident people leader with strong operational experience, excellent organisational skills and a passion for producing exceptional food. You enjoy developing others, managing multiple priorities and ensuring kitchens operate efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where you'll work across multiple venues, support major campus events and play a key role in the ongoing success of one of Sydney's most unique hospitality operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Support the Exec chef & Head Chef in leading multiple kitchens and food outlets.
- Lead, coach and develop Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties and kitchen teams.
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation and HACCP compliance.
- Manage rosters, ordering, stock control and food costs.




- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to menu development.
- Coordinate kitchen operations for cafés, retail outlets and major catered events.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
- Experience managing food costs, labour and kitchen budgets.
- Proven experience leading and developing kitchen teams.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation and WHS requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current NSW Driver Licence.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Experience managing large-scale catering or event operations.
- Experience working across multiple kitchen locations.
- Experience with menu development and product costing.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

THE PAY





Approximately $89,000 per annum + 12% Superannuation.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a permanent full time position working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, including weekends, evenings and major campus events as required.
