Job Title

Coach and Talent Specialist – North QLD Townsville | Full-time

About the Role

You will work closely with community coaches, clubs, associations, and schools to support junior cricket programs and improve coaching capability across the region. Your work will help create positive, welcoming cricket experiences that encourage young players to stay involved and enjoy the game. This is a relationship-driven role, with plenty of time spent out in clubs, at training, and in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Building strong, trusted relationships with local clubs, associations, and schools
- Supporting volunteer coaches with practical advice, resources, and mentoring
- Helping clubs create inclusive, protected, and engaging training environments
- Planning and delivering coaching workshops and Community Coach Education courses
- Supporting junior representative programs and regional talent pathways
- Assisting with junior cricket formats and participation initiatives
- Be the infrastructure lead within your region, supporting relevant stakeholders with funding information and facility guidelines and standards




- Helping identify and support emerging talent within the region

Local coaches and volunteers are the backbone of regional cricket. This role exists to support them, make their job easier, and help create cricket environments where young people feel welcomed, confident, and excited to play.

About you

Representative (Level 2) Coach Accreditation, demonstrable coaching experience, experience in athlete talent identification and development processes, excellent at building relationships, ability to work flexibly.

Essential Requirements

- Paid Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- First Aid & CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- Valid driver’s licence
