Service Technicians x 2 | Global Industrial Business | Immediate Start
Join an established industrial equipment business in a practical, customer-facing field service role.
This is not a workshop-only position or a pure installation job. You will attend customer sites, diagnose equipment issues, complete mechanical repairs and maintenance, and accurately document the work performed.
Based near Ringwood, you will primarily service customers across Melbourne and surrounding areas, with occasional regional Victorian work and infrequent interstate travel.
What you’ll be doing:
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot industrial extraction and filtration systems
- Complete mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance and minor ducting modifications
- Support occasional equipment installation and commissioning work
- Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and technical manuals
- Explain findings, repair options and recommendations to customers
- Record labour hours, parts used and completed work in service reports
- Make supplier enquiries and update quoting and asset-management systems
- Organise your own service schedule and respond when priorities change
- Work with contractors and internal team members on larger or higher-risk jobs
- Follow SWMS, isolation procedures and site-safety requirements at all times

About you:
You are a practical, safety-focused technician or tradesperson who enjoys fault-finding and working directly with customers.
You may come from mechanical fitting, automotive, fabrication, machining, industrial maintenance, pumps, compressors, HVAC, materials handling, access equipment, manufacturing maintenance or another hands-on technical background.
You will bring:
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and a logical diagnostic approach
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Experience repairing and maintaining equipment or machinery
- Basic electrical and control-system awareness
- Sound judgement around isolation and when electrical work must be escalated
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear customer communication and professional presentation
- Strong written English and accurate service-reporting skills
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel capability
- Flexibility to move between servicing, repairs, administration and installation support
- A valid Australian driver’s licence
A White Card, Working at Heights, Working with Children Check and EWP licence will be well regarded. Some tickets may be arranged for an otherwise robust candidate. A forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
