Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance (Hands-On)

Hands-on finance leader for a growing property funds business.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for a finance leader who enjoys strategy and commercial decision-making but is equally comfortable owning budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting.

AGEM Property Group is a privately owned, locally based Western Australian commercial property investment funds manager creating long-term wealth and stability for families. We provide wholesale investors with opportunities to co-invest in high-quality commercial property assets, ranging from suburban shopping centres to childcare facilities, large format retail, medical centres and veterinary hospitals, delivering passive income and capital growth.

We are a smaller, entrepreneurial funds management business with significant growth plans, which means this role offers genuine scope to shape the department, build capability and help grow it over time. As a privately owned, locally based WA business, we work closely with our investors, assets and market, and we co-invest in every property alongside our investors.

The Opportunity

- Own business finance including reporting, cashflow, fees and departmental budgets.
- Oversee fund accounting with the senior fund accountant, bookkeeper and Head of Property Funds.
- Support controlled growth through banking, debt, covenants, compliance and decision-grade reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Business Financial Management

- Manage reporting,



cashflow, budgeting, forecasting and departmental expense control.
- Own finance metrics, assumptions, documentation and sign-off cadence.
- Prepare dashboards and reporting packs that explain what changed and why.

Property Funds, Banking and Compliance

- Oversee fund accounting, reporting, distributions and key assumptions.
- Manage banking, annual reviews, facilities, covenants, lender reporting and debt strategy.
- Coordinate AFSL compliance processes with external advisers and Investor Relations.

Commercial Partnership

- Partner with Operations, Investor Relations and Property Funds on commercial decisions.
- Support fund performance, acquisitions, leasing assumptions, tenant negotiations and strategy.
- Provide financial inputs for investor materials and new property settlements.
- Lead the finance team, including the external bookkeeper and senior fund accountant.
- Review models, reporting packs, fund outputs and key assumptions.
- Lift standards across process, controls, systems and communication.

About You

- CA, CPA or CFA qualified, with robust technical finance capability and at least 10 years' experience .
- Experience in property, funds management, investment, banking or private business is highly regarded.
- Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working in the detail.
- Strong Excel skills, clear communication and a focus on technology and improvement.
