We are recruiting a Plant & Equipment Assistant Valuer/Research & Auction Assistant in our Brisbane office to support our team nationwide. The role will enjoy a broad range of assignments and learning valuable knowledge to build industry leading credentials. It could suit an entry level candidate or someone with up to 7 years' experience in any industry with plant and machinery exposure.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A mechanical or rural background are useful in this role.
The successful candidate will work directly with a Director of Valuations in our Brisbane office, and receive their support and mentoring.
Job tasks and responsibilities The main duties will be:
- Prepare detailed asset listings,
- Research sales of assets in different marketplaces,
- Assess and/or calculate asset values for specified purposes including market value, auction value and for insurance purposes,
- Assist with preparation of formal valuation reports,
- Attend team meetings;
- Assist with the asset sale process for in office or online auctions and consignment sales;
- Attend to client and buyer enquiries as required.
Skills and experience The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience or study in either the Valuation or Auction Industry (desirable but not essential),
- Rural, Mechanical or Manufacturing background or interest,
- Project Management capability to control the auction process,
- University Degree, TAFE Certificate, Professional Trade (desirable),
- Proactive attitude,
- Flexibility to travel for business,
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills,
- Committed team player, and an
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Must have a driver's license
