Health and Safety Training and Mobilisation Advisor

Suburban Connect is a consortium of global leaders in tunnelling including CPB Contractors, Ghella and Acciona Construction delivering the Tunnels South package on Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East, on behalf of Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA).

We have a broad range of roles available to build our diverse and inclusive workforce, including construction and engineering, planning and environmental management, corporate support, administration, communications and many others.

SRL East from Cheltenham to Box Hill is now under construction, with tunnelling to start in 2026 and trains to be running by 2035.

Suburban Connect is constructing the 16kms of tunnels between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley using 4 tunnel boring machines and a range of excavation methods. The works also include 55 cross passages, 2 tunnel portal structures, 2 station box excavations and associated supports.

As a Health and Safety Training and Mobilisation Advisor, you will be expected to:

- Coordinate workforce mobilisation, including verification of training, certifications, and competency requirements.
- Review system documentation to ensure compliance with the Training Needs Analysis
- Schedule external Hyperbaric and Health and Safety training programs and approve related cost allocations.




- Maintain accurate training records, competency matrices, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor qualification and certification expiry dates and coordinate renewals.
- Support workforce development initiatives and identify training needs.
- Support the management and update of the Mobilisation and Worker competence management system (Damstra)
- Liaise with employees, supervisors, clients, and training providers to ensure mobilisation and training requirements are met.
- Prepare reports and assist with audits relating to training and competency compliance.

Key Skills / Requirements:

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Experience coordinating accredited training programs; knowledge of hyperbaric operations and training requirements is highly desirable.
- Robust understanding of Health & Safety principles.
- Knowledge of competency-based training frameworks.
- Understanding of ISO management systems and compliance requirements.
- Proficient with technology and digital management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
