Collaborative and high performing team within a well-resourced, quality focused and supportive organisation Newly created 12-month contract Montefiore has established a recent Quality and Compliance Lead – Community Aged Care position within its respected and well-established Quality & Compliance team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support our commitment to excellence in aged care and disability services. This is an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening quality systems, supporting audit readiness, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and related legislation.
Reporting to the General Manager of Quality and Compliance, you will work collaboratively across departments to design, implement, engage with and monitor systems that enhance quality and safety. You’ll be responsible for maintaining policies, procedures, and resources that align with best practice and regulatory requirements and assist with developing and/or presenting education as required.
Key Responsibilities Include Provide support to Montefiore’s stakeholders to assist with ensuring ongoing compliance against the Strengthened Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and related legislation (predominately the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Aged Care Rules)
Lead internal audits and support external audits, site visits and provider re-registration processes
Develop, review and maintain quality systems,
policies, procedures and compliance documentation
Assist with investigation of serious or high-risk complaints and incidents and /or trends of concern
Coordinate responses to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, including complaints, SIRS notifications and regulatory submissions
Analyse quality data, identify risks and trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor and support managers and staff in quality, compliance and best practice standards
Contribute to organisational projects, system improvements and quality indicator reporting About You You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organised, with very strong written and verbal communication skills. You enjoy collaborating with a range of stakeholders and thrive on using your clinical and quality expertise to make a meaningful impact. With a solid understanding of the quality improvement cycle, you’re confident in interpreting data, preparing and presenting reports, and influencing best practice outcomes.
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in a quality and compliance role within community aged care and disability services, including Support at Home, Home Care Packages (HCP), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), and NDIS-funded services
Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration (highly desirable)
Previous quality/auditing experience along with a formal quality related qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration clinical experience
Experience supporting external audits and regulatory reviews
Excellent report writing, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience preparing submissions and responses to regulatory bodies, including the ACQSC and SIRS
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in computer systems and databases (intermediate to advanced)
