Based at our central production kitchen in Redfern, you will play a key role in crafting exceptional desserts and patisserie for exclusive events and iconic venues across Sydney.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Chef and Head Chef, the Casual Pastry Chef enjoys creative freedom across a wide range of patisserie components. Working within our central production kitchen, you will produce high-quality desserts and pastry items in accordance with The Fresh Collective's standardised recipes and production systems for premium events and iconic venues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create all facets of desserts—from individual delicacies and slab cakes to bespoke, high-end patisserie dishes
- Produce pastry and dessert items for corporate boardroom lunches, VIP dinners, and large-scale offsite catering events
- Manage daily mise en place and ensure accurate, consistent preparation, presentation, and portioning
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace compliance
- Collaborate effectively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of orders

About You

- Patisserie qualifications, Cert IV is highly regarded
- Prior experience in a 5-star hotel or high-end catering company




- Minimum 2 years trade experience
- Valid work rights in Australia
