We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Doorways Case Worker to join our Toowoomba team and support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship to build stability, confidence, and independence.Why This Role MattersThe Salvation Army's Doorways model provides holistic support for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Beyond immediate financial assistance, Doorways helps people develop the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to improve their financial wellbeing and break the cycle of poverty.As a Doorways Case Worker, you'll provide practical support, advocacy, and case management that empowers people to build long-term resilience while strengthening their connection to community and support networks.About the RoleReporting to the Doorways Regional Manager, you'll work collaboratively with participants to identify their strengths, understand their unique circumstances, and develop practical pathways toward greater social and economic independence.Using a holistic, whole-of-life approach, you'll partner with clients to address the underlying causes of financial hardship while connecting them with the services, resources, and opportunities they need to achieve sustainable outcomes.How You Will Make an ImpactProvide compassionate,



person-centred case management to individuals referred through our Emergency Relief services.Develop strengths-based case plans that support clients to achieve their own meaningful goals.Address the underlying causes of financial hardship using trauma-informed and empowering practice.Work collaboratively with Corps Officers (Pastors), volunteers, and community partners to deliver coordinated support.Connect clients with specialist services, community resources, and opportunities that promote long-term stability and independence.Strengthen clients' social connections by encouraging engagement with family, community, and support networks.Advocate on behalf of clients and assist them to navigate complex service systems and referral pathways.Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to continuous improvement within the Doorways program.What You Will BringDiploma in Community Services or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).Experience supporting people experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, mental health concerns, family challenges, or alcohol and other drug issues.Demonstrated experience delivering strengths-based, person-centred, trauma-informed, and solution-focused case management.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting, respectful, and collaborative relationships.Knowledge of holistic assessment and non-therapeutic case management practices.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle (kilometre reimbursement provided).What we offerThe Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks)
