About the Role
This is a residental role located in Caraban, Western Australia.
Please note: This is not a FIFO position and is not paid at FIFO rates.
As a Civil Plant Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver high-quality, competency-based training and assessments while demonstrating safe, productive operating techniques across a range of civil plant.
This role requires someone who is currently competent in machine operation—not someone who simply holds the tickets.
You will regularly demonstrate operating techniques, coach students through practical exercises, and assess competency in a live training environment.

- * Demonstrate safe and efficient operating techniques.
- * Assess students against nationally recognised competencies.
- * Provide coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback throughout each course.* Maintain accurate training and assessment documentation in accordance with RTO requirements.
- * Promote a robust safety culture and professional workplace behaviours.
- * Assist students with developing the practical skills and confidence employers expect.
- * Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods.
Successful applicants will complete a practical operating assessment during the recruitment process to demonstrate current competency.
Essential Qualifications
- * Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- * Demonstrated experience operating civil or mining plant.
- * Current Driver’s Licence.
- * Strong understanding of site safety and industry best practice.
- * Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- * Ability to work independently while maintaining high training standards.
- * Previous experience working within an RTO or delivering nationally recognised training is highly regarded.
