Senior Legal Counsel (3-6 month Contract) - Commercial Contracts The Company

I'm working with a well established organisation looking to engage a commercial lawyer to join its highly regarded in-house legal team on an initial 3-6 month contract. This is a collaborative team that partners closely with the business, providing pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters.

The Role

You'll focus primarily on reviewing, drafting and negotiating client agreements, panel appointments and tender documentation, alongside advising on standard terms and broader commercial matters. There may also be some procurement work, with the opportunity to leverage AI tools and develop playbooks to improve contract review processes.

About You

- Qualified lawyer with 6 years' PQE (minimum)
- Robust commercial contracts experience (in-house and/or private practice)




- Able to work autonomously and manage a busy workload
- Commercial, pragmatic and confident building stakeholder relationships
- Experience with legal technology or AI contract review tools is advantageous

Location & Flexibility

Melbourne-based (preferred) with a hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days per week in the office based in the CBD).
