Are you an experienced perioperative nurse with a passion for education, mentoring and developing others? Join us as a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and support the development of nurses and perioperative technicians across five rural hospitals across our Hunter & Lower Mid North Coast locations. Working collaboratively with clinical leaders, you'll build workforce capability and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care across our rural communities.

Improve Patient Care. As the CNE of Perioperative Services, you'll provide evidence-based education, clinical supervision and mentorship across anaesthetics, scrub-scout and recovery, helping build a skilled and confident perioperative workforce across the rural facilities. Working closely with the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), Directors of Nursing and Midwifery, Nurse Unit Managers and local leadership teams, you'll support nurses transitioning into perioperative practice while developing the skills of experienced clinicians through education, competency assessment and clinical coaching.

In this role, you will: Deliver evidence-based education across all areas of perioperative care. Support and mentor nurses transitioning into the specialty. Provide clinical teaching, supervision and competency assessment.

Develop education programs aligned with service and workforce needs. Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with clinical leaders across participating sites.





Travel regularly to provide onsite education and clinical support across five perioperative services. You'll be supported with: Flexible workplace arrangements and negotiated office location. Comprehensive orientation across participating perioperative services.

Ongoing support from the Perioperative CNC2 and Director of Nursing and Midwifery. Collaboration with local Nurse Unit Managers and leadership teams. Access to fleet vehicles, travel provisions, accommodation and study leave in accordance with the relevant Award.

Education resources and ongoing professional development opportunities. About You

You're an experienced perioperative nurse with a passion for education, mentorship and developing others. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy building capability across teams and are committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. To be successful, you'll have: Recent experience across anaesthetics, scrub-scout and post-anaesthetic recovery.

Experience in clinical education, teaching or mentoring. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Willingness to travel regularly across participating rural facilities. Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing, Clinical Education or Teaching will be highly regarded. Build Capability.
