BLUE DOG AG MECHANICAL PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Esperance, WA. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on heavy‑du ty diesel machinery and equipment in a dynamic agricultural and mechanical services environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing complex diesel engines and related mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair heavy diesel engines, transmission systems, and hydraulic components
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, belt and hose inspections, and fluid level checks
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot engine problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Rebuild or replace engine components, gearboxes, differentials, and other major assemblies
- Perform welding, fabrication, and metal work as required on heavy machinery
- Keep detailed service records and work documentation for all repairs and maintenance completed
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Work in a timely manner, appropriate to job encountered at the time

What We're Looking For

- Current Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualifications or equivalent trade certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with heavy diesel engines and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and diesel engine technology
- Competency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals




- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with industry standards
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varied weather conditions
- Experience in agricultural machinery repair or mobile plant servicing would be advantageous
