We're looking for a Team Leader, Residential Credit Assessor to join our Lending Operations team. In this role, you'll lead a large team of credit professionals, champion a culture of excellence and collaboration, and help deliver market‑leading experiences for customers and broker partners. Beyond day‑to‑day leadership, you'll be at the centre of strategic change—working across Operations, Credit Risk, Distribution and the Mortgage Tribe to improve processes, uplift capability and support initiatives that shape how ING delivers home lending into the future.

This is a permanent role that can be based in Sydney or Wyong .

What you’ll do

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Residential Credit Assessors, building a high‑performance and risk‑aware culture.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations, workflow, service levels and quality outcomes to deliver exceptional customer and broker experiences.
- Support the development of credit capability across the team through coaching, mentoring and delegated authority development.
- Act as a subject matter expert, partnering with stakeholders across Credit Risk,



Distribution, Mortgage Tribe and Operations to improve processes and outcomes.
- Lead and contribute to projects, change initiatives and automation activities that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships while supporting strategic priorities, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for

- Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams within financial services.
- Experience in residential lending, mortgage operations, credit assessment or related function.
- Strong people leadership capability, with a track record of coaching, mentoring and driving performance while maintaining a positive team culture.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple business areas.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities, with a focus on balancing customer outcomes, risk and operational performance.
- Experience driving change, implementing improvements and contributing to strategic initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
