We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to assist older Australians to live independently at home in the Sydney Lower North Shore. The role involves traveling to visit clients and performing a range of support tasks.
Compensation and Travel
- Hourly rate from July 1st: $34.50 – $48.75 per hour + superannuation + km reimbursement ($1.11 per km)
- Permanent, part‑time or casual roles available with flexible hours and days
- Not‑for‑profit employer – lower tax contribution
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Supporting and connecting with clients, assisting with day‑to‑day in‑home tasks – cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client’s care plan
- Transport to appointments and shopping
- Meal preparation
- Providing social support or respite for family/carers
- Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
Required Skills and Experience
- A genuine passion for providing high‑quality care to older Australians in the community
- Comfort in interacting with a wide variety of people
- Good communication skills
- Reliability as a team player
- Understanding of workplace health and safety
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
- Australian driver’s licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
