We're looking for an experienced Client Safeguarding & Incident Oversight Lead to drive best practice in safeguarding, client safety, complaints management and incident oversight across our organisation

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled skilled who enjoys balancing people, process and purpose. Working within our Quality, Practice & Performance team, you'll lead organisational approaches to safeguarding and client safety, oversee incidents and complaints, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build a culture where safety, learning and accountability are everyone's responsibility.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

- Leading safeguarding, client safety and complaint management frameworks across Youturn.
- Providing oversight of incidents, serious concerns and risk management processes.
- Supporting leaders and teams to manage sensitive matters confidently and effectively.
- Identifying trends, analysing data and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building organisational capability through coaching, advice and practical guidance.
- Working collaboratively with leaders, stakeholders and regulators to strengthen service quality and client outcomes.

Where you will be doing it from

This is an office-based position and is not suitable for remote work. The successful candidate will be required to work from either our Caboolture, Toowoomba, or Sunshine Coast office.

What you'll bring

- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, client safety, quality, governance, complaints management, investigations or incident oversight.




- Strong judgement, problem-solving ability and experience managing complex or sensitive issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence positive outcomes.
- An understanding of governance, risk, compliance and continuous improvement within health, community services, mental health or human services environments.
- A passion for creating safe, rights-based and trauma-informed service environments.

Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Law, Public Health, Human Services or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or accreditation relevant to your discipline will be highly regarded.
