In this role, you’ll:
- Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes) as an MR Truck Driver for the Maintenance & Delivery team
- Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow
- Carry out bridge worker labouring duties when not operating the truck
- In addition to the above, the trucks operated by this position may include water tankers and Flocon Trucks (asphalt transport)
- Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
- Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
- Work a 9 Day Fortnight
For more information on this position and business unit, view the Role Description and information pack About You: We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a protected and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed,
high traffic volume environment.
Essential Licenses and Tickets:
- Medium Rigid - Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed
While not essential experience operating small plant and equipment, and operating a truck mounted attenuator/crane and relevant crane tickets would be highly regarded We take WH&S; and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100km distance from the Wagga Wagga depot
