Lead the Growth of a High-Performing Project Management Consultancy

This respected Australian project management consultancy has built an outstanding reputation for delivering complex capital works projects that leave a lasting impact on communities.
With an established presence across Australia and a strong pipeline of work, they partner with government, institutional and private sector clients to deliver projects across healthcare, education, aged care, community infrastructure and commercial property.
Following continued growth, they are looking to appoint a State Director to lead the NSW business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a genuine leadership prospect for an experienced business developer and people leader looking to shape the future of a growing consultancy.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for driving business growth across NSW while leading a high-performing team of Project Managers and overseeing the financial performance of the business.
You’ll leverage your existing network to secure new opportunities across social infrastructure, particularly within:
- Health & Hospitals
- Aged Care
- Education & Universities
- Community Infrastructure
- Government
- Institutional Property
This role combines strategic leadership, business development, operational management and full P&L; responsibility.
DUTIES
- Lead the NSW business and deliver sustainable growth
- Develop and execute the NSW business development strategy
- Build long-term relationships with government and private sector clients
- Win new projects across the social infrastructure sector
- Lead major bids,
fee proposals and presentations
- Manage the NSW P&L;, budgets and financial performance
- Forecast pipeline, revenue and resource requirements
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of Project Managers
- Recruit and develop high-performing professionalsProvide executive oversight across major project portfolios
- Maintain exceptional client satisfaction and repeat business
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience within Project Management or Property Advisory
- Strong network across NSW property and infrastructure markets
- Proven business development and client relationship skills
- Experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams
- Previous P&L; or business unit management experience
- Commercially astute with strong financial management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, Property or related discipline
