Full-Time: Immediate start
Reports to: Facility Manager
Job Title: Residential Care Officer
Salary range: $79,500 - $85,000 - depending on skills level and work experience + superannuation.
Job Closure date: 30 days

About the Role
As a Residential Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting older adults to live with dignity, comfort and choice. You’ll deliver compassionate, person-centred care in a welcoming community, working alongside a dedicated team that truly values respect, inclusion and quality of life.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Assessment & Support
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop tailored care plans that promote independence and quality of life.
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting support strategies as needed and documenting outcomes for ongoing review.

Community Liaison & Advocacy
• Identify gaps in local health, housing, and social services, and collaborate with government agencies, community groups, and private providers to improve access for clients.
• Refer clients to specialist services - such as allied health, counselling, or financial aid - and maintain strong networks to ensure seamless support.





Program Development & Reporting
• Design and implement educational and recreational programs that foster social engagement, skill development, and emotional wellbeing for residents.
• Prepare funding submissions and detailed reports for government bodies and funding partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Up-to-date annual flu vaccination and full COVID-19 immunisation.
• Signed statutory declaration disclosing any reliable overseas criminal history.
• Minimum 1-year relevant, full time experience.
• Diploma/relevant qualification.
• Satisfactory police check.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
• Team player with a genuine commitment to long-term employment.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (within 5 years) Preferable.
