ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Head office team, reporting to the Financial Controller. This is a pivotal role in transforming our Finance function during an exciting growth phase.

You’ll work in a team-oriented, fast-paced workplace where precision meets strategic thinking. Working closely with internal stakeholders and audit partners, you’ll help establish solid financial control frameworks as we scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own month-end close procedures, ensuring journals, accruals and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
Maintain the general ledger with accuracy, completeness,



and compliance with accounting standards
Manage balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues promptly
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget variance analysis
Coordinate audit schedules and liaise directly with auditors
Develop budgets and financial forecasts aligned with business objectives
Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies
Support strategic projects and initiatives that drive business growth

ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
4+ years accounting experience, preferably in mid-to-large retail organisations
Solid technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
Strong analytical skills with aptitude for int
