About the RoleHealth & Safety Consultant – site‑based residential role at Huntly Mine Site (WA Mining).Responsibilities- Develop risk mitigation plans for high‑risk activities such as confined space entry, hazardous chemicals, electrical, trenching and excavation.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policy and legislation.
Investigate incidents using the ICAM process and establish corrective actions focused on engineering and higher‑level controls.
Create and deliver engaging training programs to drive positive improvements.
Lead teams on safety projects and initiatives, contributing to Alcoa’s safety culture.
Advise and support health and safety committees and representatives in Mobile Maintenance.Qualifications- Tertiary qualification (desirable) or Diploma in Health and Safety or related subject area.
Robust health & safety experience, preferably in a maintenance setting.
Knowledge and application of legislative standards to ensure compliance with H&S; requirements.




Solid communication skills; confident engaging with all levels, leading by example, taking initiative.
Contractor experience is desirable.
