About The Role
As a Health and Security Assistant, you will support the smooth operation of the hospital.
Working alongside nurses and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist with patient care, patient transfers, cleaning and infection prevention, and help maintain a safe and secure workplace for patients, visitors, and staff.

Remain calm and professional when responding to challenging or aggressive situations
Enjoy working in a hands‐on role and undertake cleaning and patient support duties
Have solid communication skills and work well both independently and as part of a team
Be committed to providing compassionate service while helping create a safe environment for everyone
Your Impact
Support nursing staff with patient care, transfers and mobility assistance
Help maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the facility
Respond to security incidents and assist in managing challenging situations to ensure a safe hospital environment
Contribute to the efficient day‐to‐day operation of the hospital by assisting with portering and other essential support services
Work as part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering outstanding care to every patient, every time

What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for assisting in patient care, inner facility patient transfers, maintaining a high degree of cleanliness, dealing with security issues, including patient restraints to support the effective and efficient functioning of the health service.
Legal and Eligibility Requirements
This is a Category A position.
Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD****_015: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases for Category A positions prior to offer.
