THE ROLEThe Director, Strategic Governance, Engagement and Reporting leads the Strategic Governance and Evidence and Reporting teams, working collaboratively across the department and in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholders to promote and deliver a lasting Aboriginal reform agenda and whole of system response to Aboriginal communities in line with the Victorian government's commitment to the Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework, Self Determination Reform Framework, Closing the Gap, Treaty and Yoorrook.
THE ROLEThe Director, Strategic Governance, Engagement and Reporting leads the Strategic Governance and Evidence and Reporting teams, working collaboratively across the department and in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholders to promote and deliver a lasting Aboriginal reform agenda and whole of system response to Aboriginal communities in line with the Victorian government's commitment to the Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework, Self Determination Reform Framework, Closing the Gap, Treaty and Yoorrook.
You will play a key leadership role in the delivery and implementation of Korin Korin Balit-Djak, the department's key Aboriginal strategic plan, including responsibility for delivering on its associated governance and oversight mechanism.
You will support the Executive Director in the leadership of the division and deliver the department's Aboriginal Strategic Governance Forum, report on progress against government commitments and participate in key advisory and governing bodies.

Accountabilities Include
Using exceptional project management expertise, lead the implementation of the department's governance and oversight mechanisms to drive the implementation of Korin Korin Balit-Djak: the department's key Aboriginal strategic plan.
Build, strengthen and maintain a high-performing, robust, resilient, collegiate and evidence-informed team through exceptional leadership, team building, strategy and business plans and supporting staff to produce innovative, quality outcomes in high-pressure, dynamic and time sensitive environments.
