Job Description
Under delegation of the Principal, and as part of the School Leadership Team, the Head of Junior School is to contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall culture and climate of the School with specific consideration and advocacy for the particularly distinct needs of all students. They are to ensure the implementation of the School's vision and policies through the development and maintenance of School practice that is in keeping with the overall ethos and climate of Pacific Coast Christian School.

Qualifications and Experience:
Personal Christian faith and a commitment to this community of faith and practice




Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education
5 years experience in teaching
2 years experience in educational leadership
Depth of understanding of the principles of Christian education.
Exemplary teaching practice.
Highly developed administrative skills.
Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and relational skills.
Capacity to develop policy and curriculum aligned to the School's vision and to implement policy in procedures
Key Result Areas
Leadership and development of all aspects of the Junior School
Day to day operations through the organisation of the Junior School
Pastoral care and welfare of the Junior School community of students, parents, and staff
Teaching and learning in Junior School
