About the Role
Working within the firm's specialist Land & Environment team, you will advise on a broad range of property, planning, environmental and local government matters, including proceedings in the Land & Workplace Court.
This role offers significant hands-on responsibility, the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners, and increasing autonomy in managing matters and developing client relationships.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing and progressing litigation matters within the Land & Environment practice.
Preparing pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence and other court documents.
Advising clients on planning, environmental,



property and local government matters.
Conducting legal research and analysing legislation, planning instruments and relevant case law.
Preparing briefs to Counsel and experts, and contributing to litigation strategy.
Appearing at directions hearings and instructing Counsel.
Building strong relationships with clients, government authorities, experts and other stakeholders.
Managing files, court deadlines and matter progression with a high degree of professionalism.
About You
You are a capable and commercially minded lawyer with approximately 4 or more years' post-admission experience and a genuine interest in planning, environmental and property law. You enjoy working collaboratively, take ownership of your matters, and are looking to further develop your career within a respected specialist practice.
Skills & Experience
Approximately 4+ years post-admission experience.
Admitted as a Lawyer in New South Wales.
Litigation experience, ideally within planning, environmental, property or commercial litigation.
Strong drafting, legal research and analytical skills.
Experience managing matters or significant components of litigation files.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
Professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
