We are seeking a hands‐on Operations Supervisor to support daily operations, lead operational teams and help ensure safe, compliant and efficient service delivery across our transport and airfreight network.
This is an excellent prospect for someone with transport, logistics or aviation experience looking to take the next step in their leadership career.
This position is rostered across morning shifts, Sunday to Thursday, with start times between 5:00am and 1:00pm.
About the Role
As an Operations Supervisor, you will take ownership of your shift and play a key role in leading staff, maintaining fleet standards and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and supervising operational staff, monitoring performance, attendance and task completion
Supporting daily transport operations and operational requirements
Undertaking heavy vehicle driving (HR or HC) and forklift duties where required
Maintaining compliance with HVNL, WHS and company policies and procedures
Conducting fleet inspections, safety audits and operational checks
Liaising with customers,



Ops Room and Operational Representatives to maximise service delivery and fleet efficiency
Delivering toolbox talks, operational briefings and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring staff are fit for work, professionally presented and equipped with appropriate PPE
Maintaining the presentation and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
Responding to incidents, monitoring operational performance and completing shift reporting
What You'll Need
Current HR or HC Driver's Licence
Current Forklift Licence (LF)
Previous leadership, team leader, leading hand or supervisory experience highly regarded
Minimum 3 years' experience within the heavy vehicle, transport or logistics industry
Experience within transport, logistics, airfreight or cargo operations
Understanding of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS requirements
Experience conducting toolbox talks, audits or operational compliance activities highly regarded
Strong communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills
Sound administrative and computer skills
Ability to remain calm, focused and organised in a fast-paced environment
Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Lead and develop a dedicated operational team
Work within Australia's aviation and airfreight industry
