Youth Homelessness Team Leader (Case Work)Youth Off The Streets is a not‐for‐profit organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future.
Our services include crisis accommodation and housing support, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice programs, life skills and employment pathways, cultural support and community engagement.We focus on early intervention and community‐led support that empowers young people, strengthens families and builds safer, more connected communities.
Our work is grounded in trauma‐informed practice and guided by The Sanctuary Model, ensuring safety, emotional wellbeing and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.About the Role:Everyone's potential deserves to be realised, especially young people navigating homelessness, instability and tough moments while seeking safety, connection and hope.As the Youth Homelessness Team Leader Case Work, you will lead a team of Intake Workers and Case Workers delivering responsive, strengths‐based and trauma‐informed support to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Marrickville.
You'll guide staff in embedding best‐practice case work, ensuring services are safe, effective and aligned with YOTS practice frameworks.Your leadership will focus on capability building, service quality, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight.
You'll support staff to deliver consistent, high‐quality case management, maintain strong relationships with partner organisations, and ensure young people feel respected, supported and empowered throughout their journey.This role is based in Marrickville and works closely with the Operations Manager, Crisis Accommodation Team Lead, and other Youth Support Services teams.What you'll do:Lead, support and supervise Intake Workers and Case WorkersProvide coaching,



guidance and performance feedback to build capability and confidenceOversee case planning, support coordination and service deliveryEnsure case work reflects YOTS practice frameworks and best‐practice standardsBuild strong relationships with community organisations, service providers and stakeholdersRepresent Youth Off The Streets at interagency meetings and relevant forumsStrengthen referral pathways and partnerships to improve outcomes for young peopleOversee program operations, site requirements, rostering and complianceManage data collection, record keeping and monthly reporting to AIHW (Validate or contracted systems)Manage outcome reporting (PWI and CoS) and Vacancy Management systemContribute to audits, continuous improvement and service qualitySupport project development, funding submissions and strategic planningIdentify risks, emerging issues and opportunities for service enhancementUphold child‐safe practices and contribute to a culturally safe environmentMaintain robust professional relationships with internal teams and external partnersWhat you'll bring:Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or team leader roleMinimum 5 years' experience in youth work and case workDemonstrated ability to lead and support staff in service delivery environmentsStrong communication, advocacy and relationship‐building skillsAbility to work respectfully with diverse cultural backgrounds and community expectationsUnderstanding of trauma‐informed, developmentally‐informed and strengths‐based approachesExperience with reporting,
