What You'll Do
/n
Partnering closely with the Associate Director, Cyber Culture & Capability and stakeholders across Cyber Security, Physical Security, Risk, People & Culture, and Internal Communications, you will be responsible for:
/n
/n
- Leading the development and execution of Optus' annual Security Culture and Engagement program across cyber security, physical security, and protective security.
/n
- Designing and delivering innovative awareness campaigns, communications, and events that make security visible, relevant, and actionable for employees.
/n
- Applying structured change management methodologies to drive adoption of security initiatives and embed secure behaviours across the organisation.
/n
- Building, growing, and activating a Security Champions network to create local advocates and strengthen security culture across business units.
/n
- Developing compelling multi-channel content across digital, video, intranet, leadership communications, social platforms, and events.
/n
- Planning and delivering flagship awareness events including Cyber Security Awareness Month and targeted campaigns aligned to emerging risks and business priorities.
/n
- Equipping leaders with tools, resources, and messaging to champion security behaviours within their teams.
/n
- Creating engaging training and learning experiences that improve awareness, capability, and compliance outcomes.
/n
- Measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and programs through engagement metrics,
sentiment analysis, and behavioural indicators.
/n
- Partnering with risk, security, and communications teams to translate threat intelligence and human risk insights into meaningful employee engagement strategies.
/n
- Maintaining and enhancing security communication channels, including Share Point and collaboration platforms, as trusted sources of security information.
/n
- Building external industry networks and staying informed on emerging trends in security culture, awareness, and behaviour change.
/n/n
What You'll Bring
/n
/n
- 3-5+ years' experience in internal communications, change management, culture programs, employee engagement, learning, or security awareness roles.
/n
- Demonstrated success delivering behaviour change initiatives using structured change methodologies such as PROSCI, ADKAR, or similar frameworks.
/n
- Proven ability to develop engaging content and campaigns for diverse audiences across multiple communication channels.
/n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation.
/n
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
/n
- Experience planning and delivering events, campaigns, or engagement programs at scale.
/n
- Solid project management and organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
/n
- A data-driven mindset with experience measuring engagement outcomes and using insights to continuously improve performance.
/n
- Creative thinking, storytelling capability,
and a genuine passion for helping people make better security decisions.
/n
- Experience in telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, government, or other regulated industries.
/n
- Change management certification such as PROSCI.
/n
- Experience managing employee ambassador or champion networks.
/n
- Exposure to cyber security, risk, privacy, physical security, or security awareness programs.
/n
- Familiarity with security awareness platforms, learning management systems, or behavioural analytics tools.
/n/n
