- Hourly Rate: $69.21 per hour + superannuation

About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced WHS Advisor to support the delivery of workplace health, safety and environmental initiatives across operational worksites and depots.

Working within a diverse construction and maintenance environment, you will provide practical WHS guidance, conduct audits and inspections, assist with incident investigations, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of safety systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct WHS&E; site audits and inspections to ensure compliance across operational and contractor-delivered works.
- Provide WHS advice and support to operational teams and managers.
- Assist with the development and delivery of WHS information sessions and safety education initiatives.
- Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective action processes.
- Assist with worker rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
- Coordinate and support emergency planning and response activities across offices and depots.
- Assist in the development, review and implementation of:





- o Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- o Risk assessments
- o WHS Management Plans
- Contribute to regular WHS reporting and performance monitoring.
- Support the delivery of health and safety programs that meet operational and stakeholder needs.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a Workplace Health and Safety position.
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Robust understanding of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and safety management systems.
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
- Excellent administrative and reporting skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- This role is based in Townsville. However requires flexibility for occasional travel to regional depot locations.
