This is a permanent full-time position. We are seeking candidates looking for a long-term career with CMA Contracting. Contractor applications will not be considered.
ABOUT YOU
As a Field Service Mechanic for CMA, you will be required to service and maintain a wide range of late model heavy plant and equipment. The role requires travel across the Hunter Valley to service CMA's plant and equipment at various project sites, including mine sites and other industrial sites.
You will have a strong service background in mechanical maintenance, specialising in heavy earthmoving equipment. A background in construction and experience with Hitachi, Yanmar, Mustang, Caterpillar, Komatsu and/or Volvo plant would be advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
Minor and major repairs on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
Attend breakdowns on site.
Troubleshoot and test components, engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and fuel systems.
Maintain accurate and complete service records.
Comply with HSEQ management systems and performance standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Permanent residency.
Seeking permanent full-time employment (contractors will not be considered).
Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment or the Automotive Industry.
Experience in field service environments, particularly construction sites.
High-level mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow technical manuals and documentation.
Existing Order 45 Medical or the ability to complete an Order 45 Medical.
Ability to undertake and maintain mine site inductions.
DESIRABLE
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven ability to multitask.
Robust decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and follow through.
Existing Hunter Valley mine site inductions.
