We’re excited to welcome two Administration Officers to the Surgery and Critical Care team.

The Administration Officer provides a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Health. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication on a daily basis and externally with various departments and agencies. The Administration Officer responds to enquiries and provides information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery within a hospital setting. Contribute to patient flow by performing a support role to nursing and medical staff, coordinating all patient movements.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Respond to general reception enquiries on the ward by answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
- Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.




- Undertake “cultural assessment/risk screening” to identify patient needs and optimise the patient’s recovery / outcomes on discharge from the acute care setting.
- Provide high quality confidential administration support to the team.

Remuneration comprising salary rates $39.98 - $44.46 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3) (part time positions available, one 29 hrs p.f. and one 48 hrs p.f.).
