We are looking for an enthusiastic Diploma-trained educator to join our team. If you hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and would like to work in an Exceeding rated centre, we welcome your application.
Our centre is 55 places, with 3 rooms catering for children from 0-5 years located in 291 King St. Newcastle 2300.
What you will have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current First Aid Certificate – HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
- Current Child Protection – CHCPRT001 course code preferred.
- Knowledge of theNational Quality Framework andEarly Years Learning Framework
- Current references

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate educational programs in line with EYLF
- Build warm, responsive, and respectful relationships with children to support their learning and wellbeing
- Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through intentional teaching practices
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations (NSW)
- Maintain a secure, clean, and stimulating learning environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators, Room Leaders, and the Nominated Supervisor
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and daily experiences
- Support children’s health, safety, hygiene, and supervision at all times
- Contribute to centre quality improvement processes and continuous reflection practices
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
