We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Trade Assistant to join a large and well-established organisation specialising in the manufacture of mining equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a professional workshop environment and be part of a team producing high-quality equipment for the mining industry.

Working across Stores, Stainless Steel Fabrication, and Machining operations, you will provide hands-on support to multiple areas of the business, assisting with daily workshop activities and ensuring production requirements are met safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

- Sorting and preparing materials for fabrication and machining processes
- Supporting material movements throughout the facility
- Preparing materials and components prior to fabrication commencing
- Assisting tradespeople across stainless steel fabrication and machining areas
- Packing completed products and preparing items for dispatch
- Loading and unloading trucks within the Stores department




- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to support cutting, sorting, and material preparation activities

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, mining, or industrial environment (highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Current forklift licence (essential)
- Ability to work safely around heavy materials and workshop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
