Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Worker

Molonglo Support Services is a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing holistic domestic violence and homelessness support services, which has operated in Queanbeyan/Palerang and the region for over 46 years.

We are currently seeking applications from experienced, compassionate and motivated candidates to join a small supportive team working 24 hours per week as a Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Worker for Staying Home Leaving Violence. Staying Home Leaving Violence supports women and children who are experiencing domestic and family violence to remain safely in their home, or in a home of their choice, free from violence.

This role works closely with clients by assessing their safety needs, seeking to improve social, health, economic and legal outcomes, reduce homelessness, promote accountability for offenders of violence and raise awareness for the program.

Duties include –

- Working within the SHLV practice framework, with a focus on working collaboratively to assist clients experiencing domestic and family violence




- Assisting to facilitate education activities
- Quality Improvement
- Development of case plans which prioritise the safety and wellbeing of women and children
- This is an in office, face-to-face role and does not include work from home provision

Current driver's licence,ability to provide a NSW Working with Children Check and current police check are essential.

SCHCADS Level 4, includespaid lunch breaks+ PBI Salary Packaging is available
