The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Lawyer/1 year PAE to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate, newly admitted lawyer or a junior lawyer looking to build a rewarding career in criminal law.

Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of criminal law, including advocacy, client management, legal research, and court appearances.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting solicitors with domestic violence, criminal and traffic law matters.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court material.
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
- Attending client conferences and taking instructions.
- Appearing in Court and instructing Counsel
- Liaising with clients, barristers, police, and court staff.




- Managing files under supervision while developing your own caseload.

About You

- Be admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Queensland.
- Have a genuine passion for criminal law.
- Experience at a Criminal Law Firm (preferably but not essential)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
- Work well both independently and within a team.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
