Lawson Elliott Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW
At Taylors Wines, we're reshaping how we think, how we grow and how we create value.
As one of Australia's most respected family-owned wine companies, we've built our reputation over more than five decades through quality, consistency and long-term stewardship. Today, we're entering an exciting recent chapter, evolving our business and building the foundations for our next phase of growth.
Transformation of this scale requires more than vision. It requires strong commercial leadership.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board, the Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction, driving commercial performance and supporting the execution of the company's long-term growth agenda.
This is a broad executive leadership opportunity encompassing finance, strategic planning, technology, governance, risk and operational support. Beyond financial stewardship, the CFO will provide commercial insight, challenge and perspective across the organisation, helping to identify opportunities, manage risk and deliver sustainable value creation.
Key areas of focus include:
Partnering with the CEO and Board on strategic planning and business performance
Leading financial planning, forecasting, capital allocation and scenario modelling
Driving commercial decision-making through high-quality analysis and insight
Supporting growth initiatives, business development opportunities and potential acquisitions
Overseeing technology strategy, digital capability and information governance
Leading risk management, compliance and company secretarial responsibilities
Building organisational capability and contributing as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team
We are seeking an accomplished finance executive with a proven track record of leadership within complex commercial environments. You will bring strong strategic and commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively from both a boardroom and operational perspective.
Candidates will ideally possess:
CA or CPA qualifications
Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at CFO or equivalent level
Expertise across financial planning and analysis, governance, risk and compliance
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, consumer products, distribution or similarly complex operating environments
Exposure to corporate development, acquisitions or capital projects
Strong leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams
The credibility and presence to partner effectively with executive and board stakeholders
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded Australian business at a defining point in its evolution. For an executive motivated by building businesses, creating long-term value and making a meaningful contribution, the role offers both challenge and impact.
