Maintenance Officer - University Residential College

We are seeking a Maintenance Officer with the ability to perform a wide range tasks.

This is a hands-on role and you will need to bring your strong customer service skills to communicate the outcome of each job effectively.

What you'll be doing:

- Perform maintenance tasks (including but not limited to general building repairs and maintenance, patching and painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, moving and assembling furniture).
- Respond to and action maintenance requests from students and staff in a timely manner.
- Plan and organise materials and allocate time effectively to complete works efficiently.
- Maintain buildings and assets through preventative maintenance.
- Liaise with the Property & Facilities Manager as to external contractors required for maintenance and repairs.

- Practical,



hands-on skills across general maintenance disciplines
- Robust problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- A Queensland Blue Card for working with children is required in this role.
