Hydraulic Technician/Fitter/Plant Mechanic (Casual with Potential for Permanent)
Starting date - immediate start
We're offering a unique opportunity for a Hydraulic Technician/Fitter/Plant Mechanic to join our vibrant team. Based in Welshpool, you'll enjoy the convenience of being home every night and on weekends. Reporting to our Workshop, Hire & Pre-Delivery Supervisor, you'll be a crucial part of our operations.
$50 - $60 per hour depending on experience. Casual Rate. Monday to Friday.

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide essential support to our Workshop, Hire & Pre-Delivery teams
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Receive comprehensive on-site training to excel in your role.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail, showcasing a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Scope of Work:
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
- Dismantle, assess, repair, attachments and equipment used for earthmoving and construction equipment.
- Overhaul hydraulic and mechanical components in the workshop
- Test and commission hydraulic equipment and systems
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records
- Support fault finding and hydraulic system troubleshooting
- Assist with breakdown and maintenance work as required
- Travel to client sites occasionally for field service work
- Pre delivery preparation of new attachments.
- Checking, inspection, maintenance of returned hire attachments.
- Mentoring, supporting and training TA’S and Apprentices.
The Successful applicant will have:
- Trade Qualifications HD Fitter or Mechanical Fitter
- Detailed Workshop Background
- Ability to Make Decisions
- Valuable Communication Skills
- Valid driver's licence.
- Display the ability to work both collaboratively in a team and autonomously.
- Previous experience in a similar field is advantageous.
- Holding a High-Risk Work Licence - LF (Forklift).
