About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic cook to manage the day-to-day preparation of meals for our children aged 2 years to 5 years. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our children through the preparation of healthy meals that meet individual dietary needs and cultural considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks in line with the NSW Early Education and Care guidelines
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Cater to individual allergies, intolerances, and cultural requirements
- Work closely with educators to support children’s nutritional development
- Maintain kitchen/food records,
including temperature logs and cleaning schedules
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management
- Order and manage food supplies within budget
What We’re Looking For:
Preferred Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (not mandatory)
Current food Safety Supervisor certificate
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a childcare or early education kitchen
Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis/Asthma training
Excellent understanding of allergies and special dietary requirements
