Mechanical Fitter - Sunshine Sugar Broadwater Mill (readvertised)

Sunshine Sugar’s Broadwater site has opportunities available for Mechanical Fitter (s) to fill a permanent vacancy. The Broadwater site is in the Northern Rivers, only 20 minutes to Ballina.

Please note: Our Fitter & Boilermaker pay rates have changed and are now classified according to experience level, with pay rates between $41 - $46/hour.

We are looking for

- Trade qualifications (Certificate IIIand Certificate of Proficiency)
- Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience
- Proven exposure to working on wide range of equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, boilers and turbines
- Ability to fabricate small & large components
- Competent in interpreting drawings
- Experience with pressure vessels preferred but not essential
- Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing

- Commitment and valuable attitude to safety and culture
- Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise

We can offer you

- 5 weeks annual leave
- 25% leave loading (on 4 weeks)
- 9 day fortnight in off season (January - June)
- Overtime available during crushing season (June - December)
- RDO a month

The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening.
