This is a unique hybrid role that combinesWork Health & Safety (WHS)withPeople & Culture (P&C;), making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing positive workplace behaviours and driving continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the National People & Culture team and partnering closely with Site Leadership, you'll play a key role in ensuring our Homebush site operates safely, complies with legislative requirements and fosters an engaged and inclusive workplace culture.

You’ll work across both operational and people initiatives, supporting leaders and employees while helping embed PMFresh's values into everyday practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Work Health & Safety

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of site WHS systems and processes.

Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, safety observations and incident investigations.

Promote a positive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety communications and awareness initiatives.

Assist with injury management, return-to-work coordination and workers compensation administration.

Maintain safety documentation, training records, PPE compliance and statutory registers.

Support internal audits, regulatory inspections and environmental compliance activities.

People & Culture

Partner with site leaders to foster an inclusive, respectful and high-performing workplace.

Assist with onboarding, induction and employee engagement initiatives.

Support learning and development programs, recognition initiatives and diversity & inclusion activities.

Provide first-level guidance on HR policies,



procedures and basic employee relations matters.

Coordinate training, maintain employee records and support compliance activities.

Act as the local P&C; contact, escalating complex matters where appropriate.

Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate people and safety records across company systems.

Prepare reports on safety performance, workforce metrics and compliance activities.

Support site compliance with national WHS and People & Culture reporting requirements.

About You

You'll be a proactive and approachable professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and making a genuine impact on workplace safety and culture.

You'll ideally bring:

2–4 years' experience in WHS, HR or a combined People & Safety role.

Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, warehousing or a similar operational setting.

Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and HR best practice.

Experience supporting workers compensation and return-to-work processes.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A collaborative, hands‑on approach and a genuine passion for supporting people.

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)

Qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations

Current First Aid Certificate

Current Australian Driver Licence
