We're looking for our newest Graduate Lawyer to join our team with generations of experience behind it. You'll be given real autonomy from day one - appearing in court, building client relationships, and developing as an advocate - while being fully supported by senior practitioners who are invested in your growth.
This is a genuine litigation role. You'll need to be comfortable on your feet, able to prepare and present yourself, your client, and the firm with skill and professionalism, and ready to appear in court as a regular part of each day.
Start date: Flexible / negotiable for the right candidate, however immediate or short notice start is preferred
Location: Brisbane CBD office (George Street), short walking distance to the Court
Excellent public transport options nearby for your daily commute as well as parking options
Travel is a requirement of the role; applicants must have their own reliable transport

About You
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Law (or equivalent)
- Are admitted as a Legal Practitioner to the Supreme Court of Queensland
- Currently hold, or are eligible to obtain, a Queensland Practising Certificate prior to commencement or within the next 6 weeks (admitted candidates preferred; strong PLT students will also be considered)
- Have a genuine interest in practising in the areas of criminal law, domestic violence and child protection
- Solid legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Prior experience in a criminal law firm is highly regarded but not a requirement
